A Littleton resident has said Republican Congressional Candidate Tim Reichert has earned himself her vote because of his faith and values and how he'll apply them while representing Colorado's 7th District.

Jen Hehn, a parishioner at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Littleton, has thrown her support behind Reichert in the upcoming Republican primary.

"I fully support Tim Reichert for Congress in Colorado District 7," Hehn said. "We need more leaders like Tim who are solidly Catholic and will courageously fight for what is good and true. I am confident that he will do what it takes to restore hope in Colorado and beyond."

The state's 7th Congressional District was redrawn after the 2020 census. According to Ballotpedia, incumbent Democrat Rep. Ed Perlmutter is not seeking reelection. Reichert will face Erik Aadland and Laurel Imer in the primary scheduled for June 28.

Reichert is a businessman and an economist with the goal of restoring the middle class, according to his campaign website. Reichert wants to simplify regulations for small businesses and reinstate fair trade laws so those small businesses can stand a chance against larger corporations. He also wants to make entrepreneurship and business ownership easier for "the little guy" and find a way to reverse "the cruelest tax of all," inflation.

The 7th District seat has traditionally been held by a Democrat, but according to CPR News because of the way the lines were drawn Republicans could stand a chance at turning the seat red. CPR also dubbed Reichert as the candidate for the middle class. He received multiple endorsements from business owners because of his plans to fix the economy.
