U.S. Rep. Brittany Pettersen, who represents Colorado’s 7th district in Congress, posted a series of messages on social media addressing local issues ranging from antisemitism to healthcare costs and community resources.
On November 4, 2025, Pettersen shared a resource for her constituents: “Check out https://t.co/vILpNWnM54 to learn more!”
Later that day, she commented on recent incidents involving hate symbols in Colorado: “Our community is dealing with yet another vile symbol of antisemitic hate that has no place in Colorado. I stand in solidarity with the Jewish community against these disgusting acts of antisemitism. Political extremism and radicalization have given a permission structure for the” (posted November 4, 2025).
The following day, Pettersen highlighted challenges faced by small business owners regarding healthcare affordability: “Donna, a one-woman business owner in Lake County, shared how she ‘relies on ACA subsidies to help pay for insurance to mitigate soaring healthcare costs in mountain communities.’ Without these subsidies, to keep her current plan, which has a $7,000 deductible, it will cost an” (posted November 5, 2025).
Brittany Pettersen has represented Colorado’s 7th District since 2023 after succeeding Ed Perlmutter. She previously served in both chambers of the Colorado legislature between 2013 and 2023. Born in Colorado in 1981 and currently residing in Lakewood at age 41, Pettersen holds a BA from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
