U.S. Rep. Brittany Pettersen, who represents Colorado’s 7th district in Congress, addressed issues ranging from federal workforce concerns to health care access and voter participation in a series of recent posts on her official account.

On November 1, 2025, Pettersen expressed concern for the well-being of federal employees under the Trump administration, stating: “I had the opportunity to speak with countless federal employees who have told me they’re afraid to speak up and worried they’ll lose their jobs for telling the truth. Trump’s barbaric firings are terrorizing our federal workforce. These are public servants dedicated to”.

Two days later, on November 3, 2025, she highlighted an individual story regarding health care coverage: “At 25, Josh was diagnosed with leukemia. After surviving cancer and rebuilding his life, the ACA became his only path to affordable coverage. Losing these subsidies could make his care out of reach. Stories like Josh’s are why we must ensure everyone can get the health care they”.

On Election Day, November 4, 2025, Pettersen encouraged civic engagement among her constituents: “On Election Day, we’re reminded that our democracy depends on participation. Every voice matters, and every ballot counts. Let’s get out and vote, Colorado! However you engage today, thank you for making your voice heard & participating in our democracy.”

Brittany Pettersen has served as a member of the U.S. Congress since replacing Ed Perlmutter in 2023 (source: fact). She previously held office in both chambers of Colorado’s legislature before her current role in Washington D.C., serving in the Colorado House of Representatives from 2013 to 2019 and in the Colorado Senate from 2019 to 2023 (source: fact). Born in Colorado in 1981 and currently residing in Lakewood at age 41 (source: fact), Pettersen is also an alumna of Metropolitan State University of Denver.
