U.S. Rep. Brittany Pettersen, who represents Colorado’s 7th district in Congress, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing political violence, honoring former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and highlighting health care affordability concerns.
On November 6, 2025, Pettersen commented on threats against members of Congress: “When is this insanity going to end? Another Member of Congress had his life threatened. We pledge to serve the people we represent — but we shouldn’t have to fear for our lives doing it.
We need leaders who will unequivocally call out all political violence and the vitriol that”.
Later that day, she reflected on the legacy of Speaker Nancy Pelosi: “Truly the end of an era. @SpeakerPelosi didn’t just shatter glass ceilings — she paved the way for generations of women to lead.
Because of her, millions of families & kids got health care. Our communities were transformed with once-in-a-generation infrastructure investments. We” (November 6, 2025).
In another post dated November 6, 2025, Pettersen discussed rising health care costs in Colorado: “For too many Coloradans, health care costs are becoming impossible to manage without the ACA tax credits.
Lance told us that as someone with Type 1 diabetes his, “premium will rise from $754 to $1,223 a month.” No one should have to downgrade their care just to stay insured. We”.
Brittany Pettersen has served in the U.S. Congress since 2023 after replacing Ed Perlmutter and previously held seats in both chambers of Colorado’s legislature (Colorado House from 2013-2019 and Senate from 2019-2023). Born in Colorado in 1981 and currently residing in Lakewood at age 41, she graduated with a BA from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
