U.S. Rep. Brittany Pettersen, who represents Colorado’s 7th district in Congress, recently posted a series of updates on her official social media account addressing local community concerns and national policy issues.
On March 19, 2026, Pettersen wrote about her meeting with seniors at Brookdale Senior Living: “I enjoyed visiting with seniors at Brookdale Senior Living to discuss their concerns with Trump’s attacks on the benefits so many people in our community rely on. Our seniors paid into a system their entire life to ensure they would be able to retire with dignity, but all of that https://t.co/p9su4iHogf”.
The following day, March 20, she addressed economic issues related to tariffs: “$2,500. That’s what American families are expected to pay in tariff costs this year — even after the Supreme Court ruled that they are illegal.
Working families continue to bear the brunt of an unhinged president who only cares about enriching himself & his billionaire friends https://t.co/LIEh9O7LNs“.
Later on March 20, Pettersen shared her experience participating in an educational event: “Spending time with kids always brings me so much happiness – they give me hope for the future.Â
Thank you to Shelton Elementary for letting me join your Read Across America celebration. I loved sharing a bit about my journey & reading with these bright students. https://t.co/XL1nWzlr2X“.
Brittany Pettersen has served as the U.S. Representative for Colorado’s 7th District since 2023 after succeeding Ed Perlmutter and previously held positions in both chambers of the Colorado legislature from 2013 through early 2023. She was born in Colorado in 1981 and resides in Lakewood. Pettersen is an alumna of Metropolitan State University of Denver, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.
