U.S. Rep. Brittany Pettersen, who represents Colorado’s 7th district in Congress, recently used her social media platform to comment on national security decisions, voting integrity in Colorado, and proposed changes to federal healthcare programs.

On September 2, 2025, Pettersen criticized a recent decision regarding Space Command, stating: “This decision undermines our national security and operational readiness at a time when the United States should be demonstrating global leadership. Our adversaries are watching. It’s also a blatant waste of taxpayer dollars. The rightful home of Space Command has been & always”.

Later that day, she addressed concerns about election security in Colorado and responded to criticism directed at the state’s voting systems. On September 2, 2025, she wrote: “More distractions & more lies. Colorado has one of the most safe & secure voting systems in the country. It means our seniors, veterans, & rural communities can access the ballot box. This is political retribution because Coloradans don’t like Trump — and that makes me proud.”

In another post on September 2, 2025, Pettersen discussed former President Donald Trump’s statements on Medicaid and Medicare: “Trump said he wouldn’t cut Medicaid. That was a lie. And now he’s coming for Medicare. That means seniors forced to skip prescriptions, rural hospitals shutting their doors, & nursing homes struggling to keep their lights on. It’s unfathomable that our seniors who have worked”.
