U.S. Rep. Brittany Pettersen, who represents Colorado’s 7th district in Congress, addressed several issues affecting her constituents in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) between September 21 and 22, 2025.
On September 21, Pettersen highlighted the ongoing wildfire risks in Colorado, particularly in Jefferson County. She wrote: “In CO, wildfires have become a year-round threat. And Jeffco has some of the highest risks in the state. I’m grateful to the leadership of the sheriff’s office and the county in using innovation & every tool to identify & respond rapidly to save lives & homes. I’m thankful for https://t.co/smbbTg5G2t”.
The following day, Pettersen criticized former President Donald Trump regarding his stance on military service members and voting systems. In her post dated September 22, she stated: “Trump is throwing our service members under the bus—all to fuel his revenge tour against anyone who disagrees with him. We love our mail-in voting system here in Colorado. Let me be clear: we don’t bend the knee to Trump. That’s not who we are or what we do in Colorado.”
Later that same day, Pettersen acknowledged local efforts to address economic challenges facing families in Broomfield. She posted: “From rising food prices to cuts to Medicaid, SNAP, and HUD, the city of Broomfield & the Broomfield chamber of commerce are tackling these challenges daily. I’m grateful for their work supporting families & stepping up when our community needs it most. I’ll always fight for their https://t.co/voXOJEntd7”.
