U.S. Rep. Brittany Pettersen, who represents Colorado’s 7th district in Congress, published a series of posts on July 21, 2025, addressing issues related to immigration enforcement and health care policy under the Trump Administration.

In her first tweet on July 21, Pettersen wrote: “What ICE is doing to women is horrifying and inhumane – including denying women in custody prenatal care. The Trump Administration is doing this in our name. And they must answer for it. I joined @DemWomensCaucus in calling for an investigation into violations against women in https://t.co/EYTq4A57eb”.

Later that day, she posted a tweet containing only a link: “https://t.co/sPqLEds7Oo” (July 21, 2025).

In another post from July 21, Pettersen criticized Republican-backed budget policies: “Republicans passed Trump’s budget gutting health care & cost-saving investments just to hand billionaires tax breaks and add to the deficit. Now families face 104% premium hikes & will be forced to choose between going to the doctor & putting food on the table. We won’t forget https://t.co/xzD8S19hxl”.

Brittany Pettersen has represented Colorado’s 7th congressional district since replacing Ed Perlmutter in 2023. Before serving in Congress, she was a member of both the Colorado House of Representatives (2013-2019) and the Colorado Senate (2019-2023). Born in Colorado in 1981, Pettersen currently resides in Lakewood and holds a BA from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
