U.S. Rep. Brittany Pettersen, who represents Colorado’s 7th district in Congress, has recently voiced criticism on social media regarding health care policy and called for the release of files related to former President Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein.
On November 13, 2025, Pettersen posted a statement about recent legislative negotiations: “Read my full statement on this non-deal that fails to address the Republicans’ health care crisis.”
The following day, she commented on ongoing controversies involving former President Trump and Jeffrey Epstein: “Trump continues to try and deflect and distract from the damning evidence connecting him to Epstein and victims. That’s why he has gone to unprecedented lengths to ensure that the files are not released. Release ALL the files. The victims deserve justice and accountability, and” (November 14, 2025).
Later that same day, Pettersen criticized a Senate agreement related to health care costs: “The Senate’s so-called “deal” does nothing to address the Republican health care crisis and the skyrocketing costs that families are facing now. Premiums are doubling and even tripling across my district, and up to 75,000 Coloradans are expected to be priced out of coverage.”
Brittany Pettersen has served as U.S. Representative for Colorado’s 7th District since 2023 after succeeding Ed Perlmutter. Before her tenure in Congress, she was a member of both the Colorado House of Representatives (2013-2019) and the Colorado Senate (2019-2023). Born in Colorado in 1981, Pettersen resides in Lakewood and holds a BA from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
