U.S. Rep. Brittany Pettersen, who represents Colorado’s 7th district in Congress, has recently posted a series of tweets criticizing former President Donald Trump and his allies over tariffs, the handling of Epstein files, and election integrity.

On February 11, 2026, Pettersen wrote: “Mike Johnson has used every trick in the book to keep Trump’s tariff regime in place while the rest of us foot the bill. But late last night, we defeated their latest procedural scheme to silence anyone who tries to speak out against Trump’s tariff tirade.”

Later that day, she posted another message regarding Pam Bondi and the release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein: “Bondi is a disgrace to the American people. Under Trump’s orders, she is protecting pedophiles and denying survivors justice by withholding millions of Epstein files. This is the largest White House cover-up in US history.”

On February 12, 2026, Pettersen addressed concerns about election interference: “Trump wants to rig the election before it happens. He sees the writing on the wall: the American people are fed up with a corrupt president who will throw us under the bus in order to enrich himself, his family, and his billionaire buddies. But we’re not going to stop fighting”.

Brittany Pettersen has served as U.S. Representative for Colorado’s 7th District since 2023 after succeeding Ed Perlmutter. Before her tenure in Congress, she was a member of both chambers of Colorado’s state legislature—serving in the House from 2013 to 2019 and in the Senate from 2019 until her congressional term began. Born in Colorado in 1981 and currently residing in Lakewood at age 41, Pettersen holds a Bachelor’s degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
