U.S. Rep. Brittany Pettersen, who represents Colorado’s 7th district in Congress, shared updates on her recent legislative efforts and challenges faced in Washington through a series of posts on social media this week.
On December 2, 2025, Pettersen highlighted the difficulties of legislating amid what she described as dysfunction in the nation’s capital but noted progress on behalf of her constituents: “Getting anything done with the dysfunction in Washington continues to be challenging, but we are still working around the clock to deliver for our constituents. Proud that the House just passed my bipartisan ICAN Act! This will make it easier for startups and small funds to”.
The following day, December 3, she addressed concerns about rising healthcare costs by sharing a personal story from her district: “No one should have to choose between financial ruin or giving up the care they need. One firefighter from my district told me his annual medical costs will jump from $13,000 to $26,000. That’s untenable for working families like his. Stories like his are why we have to keep”.
Later that evening, Pettersen reflected on her legislative experience at both state and federal levels: “Serving in the CO legislature for 10 years, I always worked across the aisle.
