U.S. Rep. Brittany Pettersen, who represents Colorado’s 7th district in Congress, shared a series of posts on August 20, 2025, highlighting her office’s recent efforts to assist constituents and address federal policy impacts.
In one post dated August 20, 2025, Pettersen described helping a Navy widow obtain essential tax documents from the Department of Defense: “When a Navy widow struggled for months to get vital tax paperwork from @DeptofDefense, my office stepped in to help. Within 2 weeks, we were able to get her the funds she depended on. Our casework team works hard every day to support our veterans and their families. We’re here https://t.co/toYcgnAuV5”.
Later that day, Pettersen commented on economic challenges faced by families due to tariffs imposed during former President Donald Trump’s administration: “Velyce is a mom in my district who knows firsthand how crippling back-to-school costs are for kids this year. All thanks to Trump’s terrible tariffs. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Trump’s tariffs are nothing more than a tax on hardworking families. I’m calling https://t.co/P1TxRr9aUN”.
In another post from August 20, Pettersen discussed meeting with first responders following the Mountain View Fire in Chaffee: “In Chaffee, I met with first responders who acted quickly during this summer’s Mountain View Fire — a reminder of how important our firefighters are to protect our families and our communities. But Trump’s chaos and deep cuts to our federal workforce are leaving many https://t.co/eMPEJNui62”.
