Pettersen, a Democrat who succeeded Ed Perlmutter in 2023, shared updates on efforts ranging from passport assistance to calls for stronger family support policies.

Pettersen has represented Colorado’s 7th District since 2023 after serving in both chambers of the Colorado legislature between 2013 and 2023. She was born in Colorado in 1981 and currently resides in Lakewood at age 41. Pettersen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
