U.S. Rep. Brittany Pettersen, who represents Colorado’s 7th district in Congress, recently posted a series of updates on legislative actions and health care concerns via her official social media account.
On December 1, 2025, Pettersen highlighted an urgent deadline for congressional action on health care coverage, stating, “Congress has 13 days to make sure people don’t lose health care — 13 days to protect millions of families. If we don’t act now, 75,000 Coloradans are going to lose coverage. This is life or death for far too many, and it’s within our power to do something to make sure moms,” she wrote.
The following day, December 2, Pettersen announced the passage of bipartisan legislation aimed at addressing substance use disorders: “Some good news worth sharing. My bipartisan bill —the Support for Patients and Communities Act— was just signed into law. This will invest in critical prevention, treatment, and recovery programs for people struggling with substance use disorders. Colorado has led the way in”.
Later that same day, Pettersen reported another legislative achievement focused on easing travel for parents: “Traveling with your kids is already stressful enough without having to worry about TSA tossing your baby’s formula or breast milk. That’s why I’m so proud my bipartisan BABES Act with @RepSwalwell & @SenDuckworth was just signed into law! It requires TSA to have clear,”.
