U.S. Rep. Brittany Pettersen, who represents Colorado’s 7th district in Congress, addressed several issues on social media on December 4, 2025, including challenges faced by parents traveling with children, criticism of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s stance on vaccines, and the impact of trade policies on small businesses.
In a post from December 4, Pettersen discussed her personal experience as a mother: “Traveling with kids is hard enough. The last thing you should have to worry about is whether you’ll be able to feed your baby or not.
As a mom, I experienced this firsthand when traveling with my boys, Davis and Sam, & having my milk & formula thrown out. I’m so excited to see https://t.co/4fLbUYJcQI“.
Later that day, she commented on Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s involvement in health policy debates: “RFK Jr. — the notorious anti-vaxx, conspiracy theorist with zero background in health care — is having his hand-picked panel decide the future of our kids’ health & safety. You truly can’t make this stuff up.
Please listen to doctors, not anti-science extremists.”
In another statement from December 4, Pettersen turned attention to economic issues affecting local businesses: “Small businesses across Colorado are being crushed by Trump’s reckless trade war, pushing small businesses to raise prices, cut staff, or close their doors altogether.
I’m proud to support a bill that makes sure that our small businesses aren’t bearing the brunt of these https://t.co/LCmSP3Tv1l“.
Brittany Pettersen has served in the U.S. Congress since 2023 after succeeding Ed Perlmutter and previously held seats in both chambers of Colorado’s legislature between 2013 and 2023. She was born in Colorado in 1981 and currently resides in Lakewood. Pettersen holds a Bachelor’s degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
