U.S. Rep. Brittany Pettersen, who represents Colorado’s 7th district in Congress, recently shared updates on her work and community engagement through a series of posts on social media.
On March 14, 2026, Pettersen visited Arvada High School and highlighted the importance of youth engagement. She wrote, “Our kids are our future – and our future looks bright! Loved getting to hear from students at Arvada High School about the issues that matter most to them. Being with young people gives me so much hope & reminds me why we can’t give up on the fight for our next generation – no”.
The following day, March 15, she emphasized constituent services by noting recent outreach efforts in Wheat Ridge: “My team is here to help make sure you can access the benefits you are owed from the federal government. We recently held mobile office hours in Wheat Ridge to answer questions. If you need help with a federal agency, please reach out to my office. Make sure you are subscribed”.
Later that same day, Pettersen described her visit to Justice Necessary’s new warehouse in Arvada and discussed challenges faced by families needing essential hygiene products: “I was inspired when I visited Justice Necessary at their new Arvada warehouse & seeing firsthand how they’re helping families access essential hygiene products. Many daycares require a two-week supply of diapers for enrollment — creating a real barrier for families who are”.
Brittany Pettersen has served as U.S. Representative for Colorado’s 7th District since 2023 after succeeding Ed Perlmutter. She previously held positions in both chambers of the Colorado legislature—serving in the House of Representatives from 2013 to 2019 and in the Senate from 2019 until her election to Congress in 2023. Born in Colorado in 1981 and currently residing in Lakewood, Pettersen holds a bachelor’s degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
