On Saturday, Feb. 28, at 3:05 p.m., Cal Poly Mustangs pitcher and former Golden High School star Laif Palmer and his team fell 16-2 to the USC Trojans in their NCAA Division I baseball game.
The matchup at Baggett Stadium marked the third meeting with the Trojans this season, with both teams having earned wins earlier in the series.
Palmer gave up six earned runs in 2.2 innings, tallying two walks and striking out one batter.
Cal Poly’s next contest is set for Sunday, March 1, at Baggett Stadium against the Trojans.
