At 2 p.m. on Friday, March 13, Diego Villarreal, a former Lakewood High School standout now playing for the Cameron Aggies, saw his team fall 17-5 to the Texas–Permian Basin Falcons during their NCAA Division II baseball contest.
The matchup was held at Roden Field and marked the teams’ first encounter of the season.
Villarreal contributed two hits in three at-bats, scored four runs, drove in three more and earned two walks during the game.
The Aggies’ next meeting against the Texas–Permian Basin Falcons at Roden Field is set for Saturday, March 14, with first pitch at 12 p.m.
