At 2 p.m. Thursday, March 5, the Colorado Christian Cougars, with former Chatfield High School standout Dylan Novotny, were edged out 6-5 in an NCAA Division II baseball game against the UCCS Mountain Lions.
All Star Park was the site of the matchup, which marked the teams’ second meeting this season. The Cougars were defeated 14-5 by the Mountain Lions in their earlier game on Thursday, March 5.
Novotny threw for 1.2 innings, allowing one walk and recording one strikeout.
The Cougars face UCCS Mountain Lions again at 11 a.m. Friday, March 6, at All Star Park.
