Jefferson County announced on May 6 that residents can take advantage of special tree limb drop-off opportunities following recent storms that have caused branches and debris to fall across the area. Starting Friday, May 7, community members may bring tree limbs and debris to the Jeffco Road and Bridge South Shop at 9509 West Ute Ave., Littleton.

The county said the slash site is located just outside of the main gate, with variable message boards in place to indicate the exact location for drop-off. Drop-off services are available free of charge from May 8 through May 17.

Only certain materials will be accepted at the site, including branches, limbs, woody debris, tree bark, pine cones or needles, and logs less than eight feet long and six inches in diameter. The county noted that hours and access could be affected by ongoing weather conditions.

These efforts aim to help residents safely dispose of storm-related debris while keeping neighborhoods clear. The initiative comes as part of Jefferson County’s response to cleanup needs after severe weather events.

As cleanup continues throughout Jefferson County, officials encourage residents to monitor local updates for any changes due to weather impacts.
