Today, the Adams County Health Department (ACHD) launched its newly designed website, adamscountyhealthdepartment.org, which will modernize its online presence and improve communication about critical programs and services provided to Adams County residents.

The new website provides an intuitive and useful experience for the public. It features a design that prioritizes the information visitors most often seek, highlights updates around major initiatives and developments, and improves the experience for visitors accessing the website on mobile devices.

“The new ACHD website will help visitors, including mobile users in rural areas with limited internet access, find the information they need and learn about our work to support public health, safety, and opportunity in Adams County,” said Executive Director Dr. Kelly Weidenbach.

The project, which will roll out in phases over the coming weeks, offers easy navigation, a user-friendly interface, and engaging content to help website visitors better comprehend what ACHD offers.

"We want everyone, not just health professionals, but also parents, students, businesses, and our partners to get the information they need. We are hoping this website will eventually serve as a ‘dashboard’ for all the services we deliver in Adams,” said Weidenbach. “The depth and breadth of the content and services ACHD will offer to the diverse Adams County communities are immense. Because of this, we needed a platform that offers a one-stop shop of information for our various populations.”

In addition to the new website this week, the Adams County Health Department launched their first program. The Adams County Vital Records Office has officially opened for business at the Adams County Service Center Building, 7190 Colorado Blvd., Suite 170, in Commerce City. Vital Records provides birth certificate and death certificate services for the county; their business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

These certified birth and death certificates can be issued for any Colorado county. Certified birth and death certificates are legal documents that are printed on forgery-resistant safety paper with watermarks, raised engraving, background security patterns, and a unique certificate identification number. Fees are $20 for the first copy and $13 for each additional copy of same certificate if ordered at the same time. Expedited UPS shipping (two-day) is available for email/mail orders for an additional $25.

County residents can request these services through in-person appointments, by emailing vitalrecords@adcogov.org, online through VitalChek, or by mailing completed applications to the address above.

In October 2021, the Adams County Board of Commissioners made the decision to end the partnership with Tri-County Health Department and create a new health department focusing on the specific needs of the nearly 520,000 residents and businesses in Adams County. The new health department will officially launch on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023.
