Former Arvada West High School standout Tate Deal and the Evansville Purple Aces were defeated 9-1 by the California Baptist Lancers in their NCAA Division I baseball game Sunday, March 22, at noon.
The contest was played at James W. Totman Stadium. It marked the third meeting between the teams this season, with each side claiming a win in the previous matchups.
Deal notched a hit in his only at-bat.
Next up, the Purple Aces will face the Illinois State Redbirds at German American Bank Field at Charles H. Braun Stadium on Friday, March 27.
