U.S. Representative Brittany Pettersen, who has been serving Colorado's 7th district since 2023, shared her views on recent political developments through a series of tweets. Pettersen, previously a member of the Colorado House of Representatives and the Colorado Senate, voiced concerns over government policies and initiatives that she believes could negatively impact veterans' benefits, healthcare, and education.

On March 12, 2025, Pettersen tweeted about her opposition to a Republican proposal in Congress. She stated: "Sam and I flew to Washington as we faced another looming government shutdown and voted no on the Republican proposal that slashes veterans' benefits and cuts healthcare - all while giving more power to an unelected billionaire who is working to dismantle our government and the…"

Later that day, Pettersen expressed concern over actions taken by the Trump administration regarding education. She tweeted: "Trump’s administration is putting our kids' education and future on the line. These mass firings at the Department of Education are a first step toward shutting it down entirely—taking books, teachers, and critical education programs away from our students."

On March 13, 2025, Pettersen thanked attendees of her Westminster resource fair in another tweet. She noted: "Thank you to everyone who came to my team's Westminster resource fair. We were able to help connect people with health care enrollment resources, housing support, and senior resources." She also offered assistance for those unable to attend but needing help navigating federal agencies.
