Rep. Brittany Pettersen discusses budget proposals and community partnerships in latest updates

U.S. Representative Brittany Pettersen, who has represented Colorado’s 7th district since 2023 after succeeding Ed Perlmutter, recently shared several updates through her official social media account. With experience previously garnered in the Colorado House of Representatives and the Colorado Senate, Pettersen remains active in her role.

On April 10, 2025, Pettersen posted that both she and her husband, Sam, completed a "busy week here in DC." She emphasized their decision to vote against "Donald Trump and Republicans’ budget proposal to strip health care away from over a million Coloradans who depend on @HealthFirstCO," by affirming, "I voted NO. We’re going to keep showing up and fighting back."

The following day, Pettersen met with officials from Westminster and Boulder to discuss community support initiatives. On April 11, 2025, she declared her enthusiasm in connecting with these elected officials. She tweeted, "So glad I got to say hi to elected officials from Westminster and Boulder when they stopped by my office to discuss the work we’re doing to support our communities—from building resilient infrastructure to transportation." Pettersen also expressed her gratitude for the collaboration saying, "Grateful for their partnership and commitment."

On April 12, 2025, Pettersen shared seasonal goodwill by extending holiday wishes. She wished her followers well with "Wishing a meaningful Passover to everyone celebrating. Chag Sameach!"

Pettersen, a Colorado native born in 1981 and a graduate of Metropolitan State University of Denver, currently resides in Lakewood.
