U.S. Representative Brittany Pettersen recently took to social media to share updates regarding her local activities and political views. Representing Colorado's 7th district since 2023, Pettersen continues to engage with her constituents and address pressing national issues as a member of Congress.
On April 9, 2025, Rep. Pettersen announced the scheduling of office hours in Conifer, inviting local residents to meet her team for assistance with various services. In her tweet she stated, "My team is holding office hours in Conifer next Wednesday, April 16th from 3pm-5pm! Stop by to get one-on-one help from my staff with passports, the IRS, veterans benefits, Medicare and Social Security, immigration, and more." Her staff will be available to provide aid on several matters, reflecting Pettersen's commitment to serving her constituency.
Later the same day, Pettersen shared a personal moment experienced at the Capitol. Together with an individual named Sam, she tweeted her gratitude upon meeting her "friend and mentor Ed Perlmutter," the Congressman she succeeded in 2023. On April 10, 2025, Rep. Pettersen voiced her concerns regarding proposed legislative changes she attributes to Republican policymakers. In her tweet, she expressed distress over the implications of these policies, which, as she described, result in "ripping away health care from kids and families who need it — all to give millionaires and billionaires a tax break."
Brittany Pettersen has been representing Colorado's 7th District since replacing Ed Perlmutter in 2023. Her political journey includes previous roles in the Colorado House of Representatives and the Colorado Senate. Born in Colorado in 1981, Pettersen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver and currently resides in Lakewood, Colorado.
