U.S. Representative Brittany Pettersen, serving Colorado's 7th district since 2023, recently communicated with her constituents through a series of tweets. Pettersen, who succeeded Ed Perlmutter and has a background in both the Colorado House of Representatives and Senate, addressed topics ranging from financial aid for students to community support services.

On December 9, 2024, Rep. Pettersen announced that the FAFSA application is now open. She emphasized the importance of completing it early to secure financial aid for college. Acknowledging the complexity of the process, she offered assistance through her office: "Attention students and families: The FAFSA application is now open! Completing it early can help secure financial aid for college. I know this process can be difficult to navigate. If you need assistance, visit or call our office at 303-274-7944 for help."

Later that day, Pettersen shared her experience visiting Ralston House in Arvada on December 9, 2024. She praised their team for providing a safe haven and essential support to children and families impacted by abuse: "I visited @RalstonHouse in Arvada, where their dedicated team provides a safe haven for children & families impacted by abuse. Their team offers essential support & resources, helping survivors heal."

In another tweet posted on December 10, 2024, Rep. Pettersen provided an RSVP link without additional context: "RSVP here:"
