U.S. Representative Brittany Pettersen, who has been serving Colorado's 7th district since 2023, shared her thoughts on several topics through a series of tweets. Pettersen succeeded Ed Perlmutter and has a background in the Colorado House of Representatives and Senate.

On January 25, 2025, Pettersen addressed the challenges faced by women in Congress who are also mothers. She stated, "As a member of Congress, I shouldn’t be precluded from doing my job just because I’m having a baby. It’s unacceptable and doesn’t have to be this way. That’s why I’m fighting to change that." She expressed gratitude towards Glamour Magazine for their support.

In another tweet on January 27, 2025, Pettersen reflected on her husband's family history and the importance of Holocaust remembrance. She wrote, "My husband is the grandson of holocaust survivors Baruch & Fradla Rubner. On #InternationalHolocaustRemembranceDay, it’s critical to tell the stories of survivors & those lost to prevent this from ever happening again. Especially as antisemitism is on the rise."

Later that day, Pettersen congratulated an educator for his achievements in math teaching. She tweeted, "Congratulations to Lake County High School’s Dylan Kane for earning the Rosenthal Prize for Innovation & Inspiration in Math Teaching. Teachers like Dylan play a critical role in shaping the next generation & we're grateful for all that they do for our students."
