Brittany Pettersen, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Colorado's 7th district, has shared a series of tweets addressing various issues affecting her constituents. Pettersen succeeded Ed Perlmutter in 2023 and has a background in both the Colorado House of Representatives and the Colorado Senate.

On March 14, 2025, Pettersen tweeted about the impact of actions by Donald Trump and Elon Musk on local communities. She emphasized "One of the most important things we can do to fight back against Trump and Musk’s reckless actions is by uplifting the stories of people impacted in our community." She highlighted Janina's experience as an example of how such decisions have tangible effects on individuals' livelihoods.

Later that day, she addressed housing challenges in Colorado. In her tweet from March 14, 2025, she stated "Far too many families in CO are struggling to put a roof over their head. That’s why I’m working on policies to increase the housing supply and connect our constituents with vital assistance for affordable housing, rent support, and more." She also invited constituents to attend a Housing Resource Fair.

On March 15, 2025, Pettersen discussed her attendance at Golden's State of the City event via Twitter. She wrote "Team Pettersen attended Golden’s State of the City to hear about the investments they're making in sustainability and public safety." However, she expressed concern over Trump's funding policies which could jeopardize infrastructure projects.
