On March 21, 2025, Rep. Pettersen announced that her office is accepting summer internship applications for positions in Washington D.C. and Colorado. She highlighted the opportunity for interns to "learn firsthand about the legislative process, public service," and more specifically serving the people of #CO07. On March 22, 2025, Pettersen commemorated the tragic event that occurred four years prior when a shooter entered a King Soopers grocery store in Boulder, taking ten lives.
